I’m glad we chose crushed stone instead of a concrete pad. There were a few installation details that required extra attention for our climate. The provided roofing shingles work, but I ultimately installed a rubber membrane for better snow and ice resistance, the manufacturer confirmed this does not affect the warranty. The Xenio control unit and cabling are not fully outdoor-rated, so I extended with proper cable and mounted the unit indoors nearby, which has worked perfectly.
Solaci Home’s customer service (particularly Esther) was outstanding throughout, they were responsive, helpful, and they quickly clarified everything with the manufacturer. Assembly with a contractor friend went smoothly once those details were sorted.
